Isolation Friday - Frightened by the Sound

I was deeply saddened this week to learn that Justin Townes Earle died this week at the age of 38.

Gone way too fucking soon and it looks like the cause of death was likely an overdose. Addiction is an insidious disease and this is an absolutely heartbreaking loss for his family, friends and fans. I discovered his music after Mark died. I was late to the party but jumped in with both feet.

Justin was an incredible song writer, a true poet. His songs were a bright light on many dark days. If you're not familiar with his music, here is a song to get you started, "Frightened by the Sound" from his beautiful 2019 album, The Saint of Lost Causes.

Take care of yourself and those around you. Whenever you can, hug the people you love tightly and often and never stop telling them what they mean to you. Kindness really IS magic xo

There's no need to worry yet
Let us not forget that
Last time rain come
Down like this
So much was lost
We'll never know the true cost
